In 1970, I received an "Amazing Kreskin" set which was inspired by the popular TV show in the 70's of the same name. The set contained ESP cards, a pendulum, dice, etc.

Because my grandmother on my father's side was a spiritualist, I wanted to test her abilities.

We ran two ESP card tests. The cards consisted of a card with a triangle on it, one with a square, one with a circle, and one with three squilly lines. There were twenty-five cards total.

My grandmother was reluctant but eventually agreed after I utililized the time-honored trick of the big, brown eyes. Two card tests of 25 cards each yield 100% accuracy. Though I don't know much about statistics, I think that was probably impossible. However, my brother and sisters were witnesses to the event.

We flipped a coin about ten times with 100% accuracy. She was not as successful with the pair of dice scoring about 40% of the time--which still isn't too bad. However, she could not affect the pendulum swing but I think the ESP cards and the coin toss told me something was going on.
